    A Moment of Reflection

    18 July 2021 /

Photo by Marcos Paulo Prado on Unsplash We’ve had lovely sunny weather lately in the UK, and this evening, I sat in my garden in a deckchair connecting with my inner child and doing some colouring.  When I had finished, I just sat and relaxed for a while; no phone, no laptop, no headphones – just the sound of the birds tweeting in the late-evening sun, and the distant sound of summery drum & bass music from another home in my neighbourhood.  There was nothing but bright blue sky, shadows on my lawn, birds twittering, and ants climbing up my son’s slide. How To Level Up Your Life By Taking Time Out

    13 September 2019 /

It was a sunny Sunday at the tail end of summer. I was at home on my computer, when my husband suggested we walk our dog, Yuki, together. We’d already been to town earlier, but something made me say yes. And I’m glad I did.  As we walked in the sun we talked about our desires for the future, our goals in life, and things we wouldn’t have spoken about at home where responsibilities often get in the way and then, exhausted, we go off to do our own thing.  Anyway, we walked to the field that is usually overgrown with grass and wheat. I call it The Blackberry Field.…
