A Moment of Reflection

When I had finished, I just sat and relaxed for a while; no phone, no laptop, no headphones – just the sound of the birds tweeting in the late-evening sun, and the distant sound of summery drum & bass music from another home in my neighbourhood. Being out in nature really puts things into perspective. We are tiny in comparison. We have lived a fraction of the time of ancient trees. As early humans, we would have used nature, grown our own food, made things from it, and generally not destroyed it. Rather, we were one with nature, just a part of the ecosystem. Now, just about everything is man made and mass produced, so much so that it’s considered revolutionary when shops pop up that sell all natural products and promote environmental wellbeing. How To Level Up Your Life By Taking Time Out
It was a sunny Sunday at the tail end of summer. I was at home on my computer, when my husband suggested we walk our dog, Yuki, together. We’d already been to town earlier, but something made me say yes. And I’m glad I did. As we walked in the sun we talked about our desires for the future, our goals in life, and things we wouldn’t have spoken about at home where responsibilities often get in the way and then, exhausted, we go off to do our own thing.
