    Welcome to my channel!

    20 January 2022 /

I’ve always wanted to start a Youtube channel on minimalism and that’s exactly what I’ve gone and done today! Since I’ve caught Covid for the second time and am isolating, and since my daughter was sleeping, I thought that now was as good a time as any. As you can probably tell, I’m much comfier writing than talking to a camera, but it’s out there now and I hope to continue. Hope you enjoy, and thank you joining me on my blog.

Understanding and Letting Go of Your Sentimental Clutter

    14 January 2022 /

Photo from Jarmoluk on Pixabay Sentimental clutter. You’ve probably heard of it and seen thousands of posts and videos on the subject.  There’s no shortage of this content because humans are emotional creatures, and we get particularly attached to objects which represent the past: Our old childhood teddy bears, A+ school work, letters and cards from loved ones, our childrens’ artwork, photos, trinkets of the places we have been, wedding memorabilia, the guitar from that dream of becoming an awesome musician, the gift from an ex, the tableware from an aunt who passed… If your heart is sinking and cleaching just thinking about getting rid of your grandma’s jewellery, fear…

    Some Christmas Gratitude

    24 December 2021 /

A big Merry Christmas to all my readers! I’m so grateful for you all and despite the circumstances this year, I hope you have the best Christmas you can have, and above all, remember that Christmas doesn’t have to be perfect (despite what the adverts tell us). Nor does it have to be stuffed to the ceiling with gifts and activities. No matter what kind of Christmas you’re having this year, remember to be kind to yourself. Kick back and forget the craziness, even if it’s just for a moment. I will be back to ring in the New Year with an article to kickstart your New Year. 🙂 xxx

Everything I Own as a Minimalist Family

    10 October 2021 /

Despite knowing that minimalism is dependent on the individual and their lifestyle, I’ve always been a bit obsessed with what other minimalists own, so I made a list of my own inventory.  I share a house with my elderly parents so this list won’t include their rooms or belongings. I also haven’t included my kids’ rooms or belongings because that is ever changing and could be a list of its own. Neither do I include all of my husbands belongings (he is naturally minimalist himself although he says he doesn’t identify as one). No matter where you are on the minimalist scale, or whether you are a minimalist at all, this…
